"Great place for young singles and couples"
River Walk Drive is located in the Riverchase Apartment complex at the intersection of Crawfordsville Rd. and Girls School Rd. The location provides very easy access to I-465 via Crawfordsville Rd. We have had very positive experiences with the office staff as well as the maintenance staff. There is a large courtyard area behind the apartment buildings which is great for spending some time outside with your pets in warmer weather. Recently all buildings received a fresh coat of paint, and the parking lot was recently re-paved with blacktop, so everything looks very nice when driving through the neighborhood. Parking is rarely an issue. The apartments are spacious and in good condition - definitely a good value for the money. Landscaping could use some work - there are virtually no trees or flowers except near the clubhouse, and the grass in the courtyard area usually seems close to death. The fitness and clubhouse facilities are excellent, and fitness classes are held there several times a week. The Speedway shopping and dining area is just a couple of miles away on Crawfordsville Rd., although to really get a wide variety of stores and restaurants, you would need to go to Avon (10 miles) or Traders Point (10 miles). Downtown is about 15 miles away. In the year and a half we've lived here, we have not heard of any problems with break-ins or vandalism, which seems like a very good record for any apartment complex. Public transportation is basically non-existent, but this is true for pretty much anywhere in Indianapolis. Excellent medical facilities are less than 5 miles away. Apartments are all electric, and water is included in the price of rent. Most occupants are under 35 years of age, and many are students. Mostly singles and young couples live here, and many residents have dogs but very few have children.
