I will be working in Rosenberg but want to live close to Houston. Suggestions?

I'm looking for a fun, live area, pet friendly neighborhood. My wife and I are young proffesionals with no kids. You could label us hipster foodies, we love music venues, great local bars and restaurants. I'm willing to commute for approx. 30 minutes anything longer is too much of a stretch.
