Sauganash, Chicago crime - do the locals think there is alot of crime in the neighborhood?

I've been around Sauganash and Lincolnwood a lot lately, and they're overall very safe areas. My girlfriend is from Lincolnwood, and it's super nice there, and while Sauganash isn't, in my humble opinion, as nice, it's still pretty safe overall.
