Would you recommend the Scottsdale neighborhood in Chicago for families with kids?

Not really, Scottsdale is a nice enough neighborhood, and the cost of renting or buying a place here isn't too bad. It's not a dangerous neighborhood either, though I'd hesitate to call it safe. The schools really aren't all that good, and there's a ton of traffic, which worries me if you have little kids. The parks are decent, but the lack of good schools and heavy traffic make it a poor choice for families with kids.
