I am always seeking Vegetarian and Vegan options which are now becoming more common place in Scottsdale restaurants. True Food, a Fox Concept Restaurant is located at Scottsdale Road and the Greenway Hayden Loop, in the Scottsdale Quarter. The menu has vegan, vegetarian and gluten free selections. One of the best Kale salads I have enjoyed, garnished with shaved parmesan and toasted bread crumbs. Edamome dumplings with truffle oil and served in a tasty broth is a great starter for the table. Indvidual-sized pizzas can be made on gluten free crust on request. Another interesting restaurant in the Promenade at Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Road is Picasso- an Organic Italian Kitchen. Pizzas can be made with whole wheat crust , or gluten free. Many pasta dishes are offered with Quinoa pasta as an alternative. Finally further north is the Herb Box in DC Ranch with delicious Sweet Potato enchiladas, or Gypsy Rolls with Hemp Hummus.
