Even though Sea Cliff is one square mile there are an abundance of parks throughout the town. Memorial Park is situated at the end of Sea Cliff Avenue on a bluff overlooking Hempstead Harbor and is home to some of the most beautiful sunsets around. During the summer months there is weekly live music playing during sunset time at the park. Other parks in town are Plaza aka Headless Park dedicated to Sea Cliff's only Veteran of the Spanish-American War, John Henry Geohegan, Roslyn Park (home for Little League baseball games), Prospect Park (home of the famous Sea Cliff Hotel many years ago), Clifton Park, located in the heart of the Village on 5 acres, it is the site of the Memorial Rock, honoring the dead of World War I. There is also Central Park, with its tall trees and paved walks is also equipped with a beautiful new playground and last but not least Elm aka Spooky Park which has a four-foot maze of yews and a natural stage for performances. During World War II, it was the site of “victory gardens” under the sponsorship of the Sea Cliff Garden Club.
Sea Cliff is also surrounded by 2 beaches, Harry Tappan Beach (owned and operated by the Town of Oyster Bay) which has a park perfect for picnics, a hockey rink and a pool and Sea Cliff Beach, which features a fine sandy strip and a pavilion with restrooms and first-aid and shower facilities as well as a refreshment stand. Sea Cliff Beach recently added a new music pavilion right on the beach for bands to play on.
