Safe, boring, and quiet. It's a great place to grow up with not much to do, but the access to nature is unbeatable (two beaches, Lincoln Park, the Land's End trail and the Presidio, and Ocean Beach is about a mile away). It's almost always cold and foggy here, even when the rest of the city is sunny. I wouldn't say the earlier answer is too accurate in that yes, St. Francis Wood is also very expensive and exclusive (more affordable than Sea Cliff though, as houses in St. Francis Wood top out at around $6 million), but the most expensive homes by far are located in Presidio Heights and Pacific Heights, especially the houses that are closest to the Presidio. This is because we don't have immediate access to fancy/trendy shopping and dining. The Muni lines here aren't as good as in other neighborhoods, although the 38 Geary runs pretty consistently and runs all night.
