Air Force Academy
"The Academy is top-notch"
The Air Force Academy is gorgeous and while it is a community with homes and barracks, you have to be part of the Air Force to reside here. The mountains snug up against the academy and it is a cool place.
There is a junior Air Force Academy for those who are not accepted into the Academy at first after high school. Of all the military bases I have witnessed this place seems top notch and intelligent. The sciences and skills that can be learned here seem better than other branches of the military. I guess I'm an Air Force kinda gal:)

"An area exclusively for the Air Force and cadets"
I've had the pleasure of seeing a good deal of the Air Force Academy. Not only is it clean and green, but the beauty of this academy and school grounds is second to none. The campus here is so pretty as it lies up next to the mountains in a very clean and neatly laid out setting. There is a beautiful church on site which has services for different denominations and many buildings for classrooms and dorm rooms. Living here is only for those in the Air Force or the cadets who are going to school here, but as for a pretty setting it doesn't get much better.
As you drive around the grounds which make up the Academy there are numerous old airplanes sitting about for you to look at. Some of them are straight out of history and display the grandeur of beginning flight for the military.
While the general population can't live here, I would highly suggest taking a tour or a drive through if you're able to. It is well worth the views and seeing it first hand.
