"A great place to raise your kids."
Bartlesville is a small city with a lot of history, culture, and is very supportive of the arts. We have Frank Lloyd Wrights only Sky Scraper, as well as other homes in the area built by him. We also have one the best music halls in the country, the Bartlesville Community Center which has been said to have the best sound qualities of any hall in America. Phillips 66 was founded in here in Bartlesville and the founder Frank Phillips has his Ranch Home right outside of town which has buffalo, deer, elk, zebra, emu, and many other wild animals along with a museum which has the biggest collection of Colt Firearms in World, and many historic exhibits including the only privately owned fossilized dinosaur egg in the world; Woolaroc is a great place for children in the spring to go and enjoy the Mountain Man while learning about living in the woods. Frank Phillips also built a mansion downtown and is now a historic landmark and a museum. Also, Bartlesville is home the OKMozart music festival each year, and has a local symphony and Choral Society, along with a historic Ballet Company which puts on annual shows. Bartlesville also has one of the best school districts in the state. Bartlesville High School has some of the best Bands, Choirs, and Sports facilities in the state as well. Bartlesville does lack night life, but we do have a few bars, and restaurants that have great atmospheres that almost always have bands playing on the weekends that you can enjoy with a good drink and some amazing food. Overall, Bartlesville is a great place for older retirees and families looking to raise their children in a quiet and safe place.
