"A small town - where everybody knows your name"
The myth of Castle Pines being so far out is just that! Located 10 minutes south of Park Meadows Mall and all the shopping and dining experiences you will ever need. 10 minutes to Light Rail station and 10 minutes from the quanit old Town of Castle Rock. Castle Pines offers the best of both worlds, a great environment for raising a family, highlly ranged Douglas County Schools and miles and miles of walking trails, open space and plenty of golf courses.
It is easy to get to know the locals. It offers a small town atmosphere only minutes away from everything you could possibly need.

"A gorgeous area for those who can afford it"
Castle Pines lies right off of I-25 just north of Castle Rock. This area has natural rolling hills and great large pine trees. Many of the homes here are spread out and it's hard to believe that over 3,600 people live here. The homes are all beautiful custom built and at a price tag reflecting that. The median home price here is $901,500 although many of the homes can be priced much higher. The median income of residents here is just shy of $214,000. Both the home prices and income levels are much higher than the rest of the state. Many of the residents here work in technology and health care.
One of the great things about Castle Pines is that it is so close to so much, such as shopping and dining, while maintaining a special feel to it of being in a remote, gorgeous place. Some of the views from here are amazing, and for those who enjoy golfing there is a world class course which was designed by Jack Nicklaus. For many years the course was a stop for the PGA tour and had players such as Tiger Woods and VIjay Singh play here.
For families who live here the students attend Douglas County School District, which ranks very well academically and has many sports teams and other activities available for students to join.
There is an outlet mall just several minutes from the southern edge of the neighborhood which offers many different choices. Restaurants are abundant in Castle Rock which is next to Castle Pines and you can find just about anything you're craving here. For those who are looking for more options or are wanting some cultural activities, Denver is a short drive away. While there are no medical facilities here there is a good hospital just 10 minutes down I-25.
***Since the original posting of my review, the city limits of Castle Pines has changed a bit. We have friends that live in Castle Rock that are now being considered Castle Pines and had to change their addresses on all of their bills, etc. So that brings down the average costs of living, although the new area that has joined isn't exactly the slums either.
