"A good value for your money"
Colorado City lies in Pueblo County along the I-25 corridor east of Pueblo just under a half an hour away by car. This town of 2,193 people has a lot to offer it's residents. While it's small town living, there are some great mountain views and some really good locally owned restaurants. Many homes are spread out with a view of Beckwith Reservoir which offers residents stocked fishing (mostly crappie), boating (only non-gas powered), nature walks, and biking. In addition to the reservoir there are several really nice parks here.
The median household income for Colorado City is $39,138 which is below the state average, but the median average housing prices are lower as well. $131,522 is considerably lower than the state average of $237,800 so this makes the cost of living here really good. Almost 84% of the population is white, with just shy of 14% claiming Hispanic origins. The schools here rate about average when compared to the rest of the state.
