"Cute, efficient town"
Elk Grove is a cute place to live, very modern yet cozy. Entertainment at every corner, from a theater, bowling alley, library, water park and more! Being experienced myself, there's tons of hangout places! A cozy Starbucks (a necessity) and quick, fast places like Little Ceasars, Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, Subway, Bufflo Wild Wings, Chipotle and more. Or to dine in at Good Tequila or Peapod. Religion is, of course, right around the corner as well. Multiple churches scattered around for your convience and the option of Queen Of The Rosary catholic school. Multiple elementary schools such as Salt Creek, Ridge, Byrd or Rupley. Leading into a fine junior high school, Elk Grove Juinor High. Which all turns into Elk Grove High School. EGHS being a great place for kids to learn and be involved. With outstanding music programs including their marching band (first place Univeristy of Illinois marching competition 2013), symphonic band, choirs and orchestra. An abundance of teams and activites including debate team, color guard, skate club, film club, anime club, fishing club, GSA, honorable speech team and many, many more. Large amount of options for sports teams: basketball, football, soccer, water polo, gymnastic, bowling, swimming and diving, cross country, etc. Elk Grove also has great places for fitness. Gyms and recreational faculties. The pavilion, a great place for multiple needs. Shopping is always an option. Grocery needs can be taken care of in the heart of Elk Grove at stores such as Jewel or Walgreens (the corner of happy and healthy). Or the convience of a short drive to Woodfield mall. Medical facilities can be taken care of at Alexian Brothers hospital, right near Walgreens for prescriptions and what not. Children can have a blast with many parks throughout the village. Which are nicely placed in areas by houses and a safe distance from roads. (See Appleseed park, personal favorite) Right down the street from Elk Grove high school, Rainbow Falls water park. Elk Grove is an amazing place to live!
