"A small town on the way to Kansas"
Flagler is a small town just 30 minutes east of Limon and has a population of 561. This small town is the center for a ranching and farming community, although it's small size allows few amenities. There are a few churches, a small grocery store, library, hardware store, Radio Shack, and a bank. For larger shopping residents must travel to Limon or even to Denver, which is quite a distance away.
As for money, the median household income in Flagler is $33,639, which is well below the state average of $55,430. The median home price in Flagler is $82,991 which is also below the state average of $237,800. Flagler is overwhelmingly white with 97% of the population being caucasian.
Being true to a small rural town in Colorado, you can see grain elevators and the plains go on for miles. Many of the homes in town are well tended and residents take pride in their small but close community. There is a ton of school spirit and residents, even those without kids, can be spotted at the high school games.
