"Franktown, small town commute south of Denver"
Just 10 minutes east of Castle Rock is Franktown, this is a very small town of only about 400 people. The average household income in town is high relative to the average for Colorado, it is about $60,000 in Franktown.
The little town has an historic cemetary and is really a fairly short commute to the Denver area to its north, especially for those commutting into the tech center of south Denver. There are some businesses in town but there are some really amazing homes (big properties) outside of town. This would be a great place to invest in land/property if you needed to be near Denver but wanted a country feel and view of the mountains.

"A place for country lovers"
Franktown is a small, rural community where most of the homes are built on several acres. There are some beautiful custom homes and also homes that have been around a while but are more costly due to the amount of acreage they are on.
Within the town itself are only a spattering of stores and restaurants. However, just down Highway 83 to the north is Parker, Colorado a town bustling with businesses and restaurants, parks and fitness centers. Franktown is lucky enough to be close to Castlewood Canyon State Park which has numerous trails and nature walks, an outdoor amphitheater and beautiful rock formations and a gentle river running through it.
There is almost no traffic in Franktown with the exception of the intersection at Parker Road and Highway 86 occasionally.
The schools in Franktown are part of the Douglas County School system and kids go to Franktown Elementary (a 9 rating), Sagewood Middle School (a 7 rating), or Ponderosa High School (a rating of 8). The school ratings are based on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, with scores based on state testing standards.
Overall, this is a lovely area with mostly families who enjoy being close to town, but far enough away to enjoy the nature surrounding them.
