Situated in the southern portion of the Orange County, Laguna Hills is a great Southern California neighborhood that lies between Lake Forest and Laguna Beach. Laguna Hills is well known for their Laguna Hills Mall and Nellie Gail Ranch.
With a population that is over 30,000, the people of Laguna Hills are known to have an annual median income that exceeds $80,000. This area does come with a high cost of living though. According to Yahoo, the cost of living index in Laguna Hills is 150. The national average in the US is 100.
Laguna Hills also has great schools that are managed by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District and the Capistrano Valley Unified School District – two very good educational systems within the state. They also have the smallest high school within the district. The Laguna Hills High School is also one of the smallest in southern Orange County, with less than 1700 students.
The newly constructed Laguna Hills Community Center and Sports Complex provides for many of the recreational needs of their residents. The 18 acre park and community center has great amenities for everyone young and old. There are fields to play various ball games, a skate park, large playground, library and indoor basketball courts. The community center also offers many classes for their young and old.
Laguna Hills is easily accessible through freeways and toll roads. It is also near the John Wayne Airport and has nearby train stations.
