"New Castle is close to Glenwood Springs along the I-70 corridor"
Less than 10 miles west of Glenwood Springs the pretty location of New Castle is an agricultural area in the Colorado River valley on the way towards Grand Junction. There are about 2,000 people who make New Castle their home.
Most of the town of New Castle lies to the north of I-70. Lakota Canyon Golf Course is a pretty area north of town and the course is fairly long. Shopping is not great in town but Glenwood is close, the schools are also great and associated with Glenwood. The average income per household is reported at $55,000, above the average of Colorado.

"A quiet little town along the Colorado River"
New Castle lies on I-70 just 13 miles west of Glenwood Springs. In this area the highway travels alongside the Colorado River, which gives residents ample opportunity for fishing and kayaking. This small town of just 4,500 people is in a perfect spot for outdoor adventure seekers with many opportunities for hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, kayaking, and hunting just minutes from their doorstep. The median household income of New Castle residents is $55,650 which is only $220 above the state average, however, the median home price here is $303,827, which is 66,207 higher than the state average median home price.
The majority of the residents work in construction, health care, and retail. Many travel to Glenwood Springs for work as well as Rifle. Glenwood Springs has a hospital while Rifle has a nice medical center. There isn't much in this town, although there are a few restaurants such as a McDonalds, pizza shop, and Subway. There is a motel, grocery store and gas station.
Overall this is a lovely area near numerous outdoor adventures. For anyone who likes to live the quiet life amidst the beauty of the mountains, this may be a great place to live.
