"Warm, Welcoming Neighborhood"
Palos Heights is still a suburb of Chicago, but much more south. About 30 minutes from downtown (with traffic), Palos Heights is more of an older, rustic neighborhood in the Chicago-area. While new developments are being built rapidly, Palos Heights still holds true to it's peaceful and communal streets. Many of the houses were built in the 60s and 70s, so while they aren't historic, they each have a story behind them. Palos is about 10 minutes from the mall in Crestwood, but throughout the Palos Heights area there are various eateries and stores on the outskirts of each neighborhood. School systems are average, not much to brag about but no gang activity or anything of that nature. Overall, a good quality place to live.
