"Pleasant Acres: A slice of MN NICE!!"
Living on the lake in St Joe brings me the best of every world out there! A close knit community where my neighbors know us, the kids, the pets and if you need a cup of sugar you can ask for one! It is truly wonderful and does exist! In the summer the kids swim every day, the water is clear, clean and really warms up. Buy extra beach towels - your house will be popular! :-) And as a private lake, it is not too busy! In the winter we ice skate, walk/slide on the lake and there is lots of ice fishing! The school in St Joe goes from K to 8th grade, is state of the art and almost brand new! Smart boards in each class room, huge windows overlooking a beautiful natural setting and amazing teachers. I have been very happy and the kids love it - which is the real test. There are only a few restaurants in town but St Cloud is so close that it really hasn't been a big deal. Plus, in the summer we grill all the time anyway. We can stay home and still get a pizza delivered (House of Pizza), go out for a fine Italian meal (Bello Cucina) and have fun night life (the Middy) right in town - it has been perfect for us and I would never move! St Joe has everything you need and some things you never knew you wanted - I love it!!

"The Energy of a College Town"
Main street "St Joe" is lined with small businesses including a coffee shop, recording studio, art gallery, grocery coop, gift shop, restaurants and yoga studio. Summertime festivals and city wide garage sales make this a perfect spot for a quick afternoon getaway, or grab your bike or walking shoes and hop on the fabulous Wobegan Trail. The long standing residents, college students and Monastic communities come together here to create a diverse experience unlike any other in our area.
