"Home of the flagship university of Connecticut"
Storrs is a sleepy rural village right next to the flagship university of CT giving you the best of both worlds. We are in the midst of a building boom with the building of a brand new Storrs Center, right near UConn and across the street from the high school. There are now restaurants, really nice apartments, a parking garage and soon will be the location of a UConn medical practice and a grocery store. Things are really happening in Storrs and it's a great place to live and most especially, a wonderful place to raise a family. Schools are top notch and you have the benefits that come from having a university in town. I have lived in town for 10 years.
Pros
- family life
- peaceful
- lots of open space, hiking trails - really beautiful
Cons
- if you aren't associated with the University, can be slower to make friends
