"Home of Harley Davidson"
York is an interesting small town rich with cultural diversity and interesting history. York was once the capital of the United States! In downtowne York was involved in thwarting the of plan to conspire against George Washington and has a street named after Lafeyette who toasted Washington at the Plow Tavern. You can take a tour through the downtown area and see other Historical Landmarks.
There are small shops in the downtown area where you can get fresh flowers, buy collectable trains, go to a Farmer's Market, enjoy live entertainments at Cherry Lane, watch cultural movies at The Strand Capital, watch York's very own baseball team, The Revolution, play or tour one of York's many factories. York boasts Harley Davidson, Stauffer's Cookies and Wolfgang Candies and they all offer tours through out the year. If your lucky enough to visit in early September don't forget to stop in at the York Fair.
They even have a famous rock band, Live, hail as natives of this small but quaint town in south eastern Pa.
