"as close to country living as you can get in the heart of the big city"
Forest Hills is a quiet neighborhood in East Dallas just south of White Rock Lake, and bordered on the south by Ferguson Road. Many grand homes with exquisite landscaping face Garland Road and White Rock Lake, making this a beautiful urban oasis just minutes east of Downtown Dallas. It's an ideal place to retire with golfing nearby for men and a neighborhood garden association for the ladies.
You can spend a day lounging about on the shores of White Rock Lake, or launch your sailboat and take a leisurely breeze around the lake as boats with motors are not permitted here. Friendly neighbors look out for each other in this neighborhood and a strong homeowner's association ensures that houses and landscaping are kept up to high standards. You can see a concert just down the road at the Dallas Arboretum and some of the most eclectic dining in the city is just a few minutes away. Make sure to sample some of the best pizza and Italian food in Dallas, with a Playboy Playmate behind the bar as well, when you visit Campisi's, which is just south of the neighborhood on Mockingbird Lane.
Forest Hills is a great place to relax or take in some of the best food and nightlife in all of Dallas.
