"A family oriented neighborhood with good parks"
Hutchinson Heights lies within several busy streets, but once you're in the neighborhood you can see that it's mostly families here. There are several really nice parks within this small area where you can often see kids playing. There is also a great water way that has green lawns running alongside of it with a jogging/walking path which is frequently being used. There are several businesses on the southern side of the neighborhood including a grocery store, clothing store, drug store, several restaurants (sit down and fast food), car repair shops, and a bank. These businesses make leaving the neighborhood almost unnecessary, which can be nice in inclement weather.
Many families are attracted to this neighborhood due to the conveniences here as well as the schools. In the neighborhood is both an elementary and a middle school. Both schools are at or just below average for state standardized testing scores, with parents rating the schools a three out of five stars themselves.
I would recommend this neighborhood for families who want to live in Aurora but like to be near shopping and restaurants and have easy access to the tollway. There are also some very nice apartments located on the outer sides of the neighborhood which would be great for singles who work in the area.
