"Perfect neighborhood to raise a family, very green."
With so many good schools within walking distance, this is a great place to raise the kids. The Honeycreek Parkway winds through the area, a great place to run or bike, with Dewey hill for sledding in the winter, Hawthorne Glenn, and Hart Park nearby with soccer fields, there's plenty to do outdoors. The houses are close enough together that you get to know your neighbors, but it's still comfortable and roomy enough to spread out, and the trees arch in a green canopy over the streets. In the summertime, the State Fair Park is nearby, you'll have to check out the famous creampuffs, and the Pettit Ice Center offers ice skating year round. Gilles Frozen Custard is the oldest custard stand in Milwaukee and a meeting place for the whole community.
