"Not a great place to raise a family"
I lived here for approximately 5 years and have since moved away from this area. This used to be a nice neighborhood until over the past few years it has gone down hill. I would not suggest raising a family here.
People walking the streets at all times of the evening, grocery carts left everywhere, kids playing on the streets without supervision, loud music playing out of homes and/or apartments. Police cars frequent the area due to calls, not patrol.
There is a hospital several blocks from this location and several parks in the area for children to play.
Once driving down the street, I witnessed a car drive and shoot at a house near an elementary school.
Many of the businesses in this neighborhood are Mexican or Vietnamese. The nieghborhood also has several closed businesses with boarded up windows. It has been this way for years. You have to travel to Fountain Valley to find a non-ethnic grocery store.
I have recently moved to Westminster / Fountain Valley boarder and the area is much nicer. There are friendly people, a mix of markets and grocery stores, and a friendlier environment.
