Between Interstate 10 and Hwy 290, West of Loop 610 is where you will find the Westbranch area. Main roads here include Clay Road and Tanner Road. This area is located very close to Spring Branch, and has the same dated feel. If you are the outdoorsy type, you will love the nearby Bear Creek Park.
Mostly populated by Hispanics, Westbranch offers single family housing, as well as assisted living centers and a wide variety of apartment complexes. Real estate prices are on the lower end, and while zoned to the award winning Cy-Fair School District, there are other areas nearby where I would prefer to raise a family. For shopping, dining, and entertainment, you will want to drive a few miles south to I-10. There you will find Memorial City Mall, which offers all the shopping your heart could desire. The exterior of the mall parking lot offers restaurants such as The Olive Garden and Memorial Hermann Medical Center is just across the street.
