"Convenient but Pricey"
Located South of the 610 Loop, and close to Highway 90, you will find Willow Meadows and Willow Bend. Major roads in the area are Bellfort Street, Willowbend Blvd, and Stella Link Rd. Willow Meadows/Willow Bend is conveniently located close to The Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Uptown. Most commuters drive to work in their personal vehicles, while some prefer the convenience of the many Metro Bus stops in the area. This neighborhood borders Brays Bayou, so it somewhat prone to flooding if rain falls for an extended period of time.
Modest homes are located in this area, but you will pay a higher price for real estate here, since this is one of few subdivision locations so convenient to the Medical Center and Downtown. You may find that you will pay a double or triple price per square foot for a home here versus one on the outskirts of town. With traffic the way it is in Houston, many employees working for hospitals and Downtown offices drive over an hour each way for their commute.
Residents here are educated under Houston ISD, but there are local private schools to choose from as well. Colleges are close to Willow Meadows/Willow Bend including Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, and Houston Community College.
