Transferring from Chicago, where to live?
Hi, I'm moving from Chicago to Seattle to obtain my masters at UW. I'm 31 year old female & would like to live near (or within decent public transportation to) live music venues, art museums, farmers markets etc; but focusing on limiting my daily commute too.
If you know Chicago neighborhoods, I do not want to live in something like Wicker Park. I've done my time there in my early 20s, and not looking for that scene. It looks like that would be comparable to Capital Hill? I'm probably looking for something in comparison to Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, Lincoln Park, etc that's safe.
Any thoughts or advice would be MUCH appreciated. I am brand new to Seattle and would prefer not to move a lot!
