Would Seattle be a smart location to live considering traffic and social life if I work in Tukwila?

I am looking to move from Tacoma to the Seattle area to be closer to work. I am wondering if the Seattle scene it is worth the hassle of the Seattle traffic on my way to work in Tukwila. I am in my 20s and looking to live around other young professionals as well.
