Despite the tourism, is Silverthorne a good mountain town in which to raise a family?

I lived in the area when I was younger and did meet several families who loved it. The schools are good and most of the kids grow up skiing so they are athletic as well. I think you would just get used to the tourists being around as part of daily life.
