Should any parts of Tri-Taylor in Chicago be avoided more than others?

I think the Eastern side of the Tri-Taylor neighborhood is safer, as the University and Medical Center are right there so there'll be more security and police in the area, so if you want to avoid any part, maybe the Western side, as it's farther from the safer parts.
