"Nice family town"

In the Inland Empire this is the place to live. More expensive than other towns in the county. Great schools. Many professionals, college educated residents. Most of Loma Linda Medical Hospital physicians live in Redlands. Cute downtown with farmers market. Nice selection of restaurants. Pretty homes. University of Redlands here.
Smog and warm in the summer. Winters mild. Close to mountains. Population is diverse.

"Sunshine & Golf"

Pros: Beach, boating, fishing, pools all year long. Vacation resort feel. Restaurants and shopping wonderful.. Many outlets near. Cons: Hot humid with bugs most of the year. Residents spend time indoors alot because of the tropical storms and mosquitos in the summer. A/C runs almost all year. Not a great place to raise a family. Schools are school of choice (not neighborhood) and children can live miles from their schools. Not to mention only a few are considered good.
some other fun facts: Golf courses galore, empty playgrounds all summer long, many many retirees, religious with many churches to choose from, many of the full time residents are born and raised and never left or returned to Fort Myers.
Overall If you enjoy sunshine and can tolerate humidity and heat for most of the year, this is a great place.... to retire.
