"I love freeways!"

I love freeways. They are fast and very convenient. They are also reliable. Nimitz Freeway is well known in San Leandro as well as the surrounding area. It sort of serves as a great connection to all of these thriving cities. Traffic is crazy, I will be the first to admit that but you can’t dent the amount of time it saves when trying to reach a destination. The upkeep on the freeway is excellent which provides for easy driving. I try to avoid this area during the Christmas season and that is really the only time that the area get’s to stressful for me.

"Tought street needs some community loving"

Central Avenue is certainly not the stand out street in San Leandro. There are some odd people that stroll these sidewalks. The cop hangout is heavy and there are a lot of seedy looking joints. This area is often in the news for domestic related crimes and labeling key parts in the community that need some touching up. I don’t really drive through this area that much unless I have to. I would not recommend this street to kids at all. Prostitution is also a problem in some places on Central Avenue.

"Hidden hole in the wall bars"

150th Avenue is not really that big of a street. Driving down it you wouldn’t really expect it to be an exciting street. The street is residential in some places. The great part about 150th Avenue is the bars that it has. Like I said you would never expect to find bars on a street like this. They are hidden well and are known by a few. My favorite bar in all of San Leandro is Shooters which is located on this street. Great cheesy place for pool playing, drinking and singing to the latest music. If you love exploring new hole in the walls, you really need to take a stroll along 150th Avenue.

"From Chili's to Appleblee's"

If you want to get find all the familiar restaurants’ and shops that offer the big brand names then you need to swing by East 14th street. All the family restaurants from Chili’s to Applebee’s are located on this street as well as the spirits offering the independent names. There are plenty of retail outlets from shoe stores to clothing stores. This is a great place to visit on the weekend. Value wise this street is only growing. There are new developments that are spring up left and right. This also makes roadwork quite common. If you take this way to work or for any other reason you better plan a few extra minutes in your driving schedule.

"Top of the quality of living that you get from this street"

The quality of lifestyle does not get any better than Harborview Drive. Plenty of wiring make this a wonderful street for communications. My cellular service and internet connections are awesome. Since the street is somewhat elevated, my views go for quite some distance. The houses themselves are all modest without being over the top yet they offer a very invigorating and inviting feeling. The people are friendly. I don’t know how many random people I see walk by my house with their dog and say hi. I also love the fact that I am situated in a strictly residential area. If I want a taste of the community or do some shopping, I need to drive a few minutes through some more residential streets to get to my locations, but that is ok. This is the type of street that is ideal for family dwellers.

"Experience a little taste of the bumpkin road"

Fairmont Drive is the perfect street for student drivers to practice their driving on. The beginning of the street ends off on Lake Chabot Drive in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes the middle of nowhere is a great escape form the chaotic city life. Fairmont Drive continues to arch it’s way well into San Leandro. Parts of the street become hilly in the San Leandro area. There are plenty of giant trees that offer shade on really hot and sunny days. There are plenty of residential side streets that veer off from Fairmont Drive as well as local university hotspots. Traffic can be rather overwhelming as your driving into the city because of it’s accessible location.

"One of the best roads in San Leandro"

Lake Chabot road is truly a street that offers plenty of diversity. Starting in San Leandro as a residential road that has plenty of houses, bars, stores and other buildings dotting the landscape along the way. All of these areas are great by the way. Lake Chabot road gets really interesting as it does a series of twist and turns before entering an area where it is surrounded by forest on both sides. This provides for a relaxing and soothing drive. In the fall the color spectrums are amazing. The road get’s it’s name from an actual lake named Chabot which is a lovely lake that is known for it’s boating activities. This street offers a little something for everyone. One of the best street’s in San Leandro without a doubt.

"Which doctor's office will you pick?"

Benedict Drive is right off of MacArthur Freeway. The area is teaming with life and thriving with homes and businesses. There are plenty of doctors located along this street as well the extremely busy Kindred hospital. When you are walking or driving along this street you will probably encounter some frantic motorist pulling into the hospital or some random doctor’s office. The houses that dot Benedict Drive are situated on hills far from the street. When you think of a famous California mudslide these are the type of houses that suffer the most. They have amazing views because the high elevation certainly allows for views that go farther than Benedict Drive. Being close to the freeway is going to offer quick access to places but it is also going to be a noise factor. This is a great street though.

"The heart of the public San Leansro schooling system"

Hence it’s name School street, this street is actually considered the heart district of the public schooling systems in San Leandro. There is also the St. Mary’s College which spices the crowd up from grammar students and college students, giving the area a true blend of students. There are also a few sporting studios in this area such as the Head Over Heels Gymnastics Studio which is a popular place for young students to express their gymnastic skills. The houses in the area a pretty nice with yard larges to offset the homes in terms of value. This is a really great area for kids and students to join sporting events and build relationships with their peers.

"Elsie Avenue does not require any charm"

Elsie Avenue is a very nice street.. The street itself offs a very conventional feeling as well as the surrounding streets. By conventional feeling, I mean something very relaxing regarding it's nature. This is the type of place that families would love to raise their small children and experience the truth ideology of middle class suburbia. The street is wide which offers panoramic vies of the street from all angles, the houses are all different in character and development and their plenty of other elements that give Elsie Avenue am extra kick.
