"Home sweet home"
We live in the Los Feliz hills and I can't begin to describe how wonderful the neighborhood is. It's amazing to be in urban Los Angeles and have the sanctuary and greenery of Griffith Park along with great restaurants, bars, and shopping in one compact, walkable area. We've grown up and lived in other parts of LA (WeHo, West LA, the Valley...), and Los Feliz is where we intend to stay. It has gotten expensive, but it was always an upscale area and the feel of the neighborhood continues to be very down-to-earth. We have had plenty of instances where we've struck up conversation at brunch and later met up for drinks with other couples. In my experience (just one person's opinion!), this never happened when we lived on the Westside. I love the fact that LF Blvd. and South LF are lined with beautiful art deco apartments because it allows for a younger population to contribute to the vibrancy of our area. I also think that the proximity to Silver Lake (our sister city) is great for both areas, because the area remains an artsy, creative hub and we have easy access to both the Los Feliz Village and Sunset Junction. Overall, I can't imagine us living anywhere else.
