Ottley Dr Northeast
"Not Easy to Get to but with a Couple Choice Spots"
Ottley Drive is one of those neighborhoods not easily found. Traditionally the street has been more of an industrial park feel to it with warehouses and short buildings lining the street. But nestled along this road are a couple places that are great for Atlanta. On the foodie side, there is SweetWater Brewing, Atlanta brewers of ESB, Blue, Exodus Porter, Festive, Sweet Georgia Brown, and 420 Extra Pale Ale. They offer tours during the latter half of the week along with sampling and merchandise. The other spot to note is Project Open Hand. This is the hub location for a volunteer effort to prepare and deliver freshly prepared meals, over 4,500 daily that are packed and sent out every day to people that are often unable to afford or prepare a meal, including those with HIV/AIDS, or are critically ill. (they also offer a meal service for paying customers as well).

"Bowling in the City? Check."
Piedmont Circle is a short stretch of road connecting Piedmont Rd with Monroe Drive. While it sports a few seedy spots, it features Midtown Bowling alley for those looking to knock down a few pins. You also have the back entrance to Wendy's (which fronts on the otherside to Piedmont) and Intown Suites which rents rooms by the week. The neighborhood here tends to be hit or miss otherwise.

Woodcliff Dr Northeast
"Short road."
Woodcliff Drive - a short little drive that does present a couple retail experiences and if you are in need of a sari, there's a little shop here that might be your answer. For most though, this road is either a way for those unlucky drivers backed up on N Druid Hills during evening rush hour traffic to get over to Briarcliff road (or perhaps to get to Tin Cantina to get some tasty snack before hitting the rush again. Otherwise, enjoy the scenery of the Target superstore or the Taco Bell that are near here.

Briarwood Rd Northeast
"Shortcut from I-85 to N. Druid Hills"
Trying to get from Buford Hwy to the REI store on I-85 access road? Briarwood Road's your bet. Want to get up to Peachtree Industrial quickly? Check out Briarwood from Buford hwy over to North Druid Hills. A road that is mostly residential, it provides a curving path alternative to some of the more heavily traveled roads in the Northeast side of town. While part of the road was closed for bridge repair work, the county has completed this process reopening this roadway.

"Former Golf Course Area Redeveloped into Residential and Office Park Nook"
Lenox Park Boulevard provides a scenic winding connection from North Druid Hills rd to Roxboro Road. This drive provides access to several newer apartment complexes, higher end housing and several mid-rise office towers, including AT&T offices (former BellSouth). The real jewel here though can sometimes be glanced at as this edges Lenox Park, a great community park complete with walking/jogging paths, lake, and more. You'll find people walking their dogs along the road and in the park in the early evenings or taking bread crumbs down to the lake to feed the ducks. Its also scenic spot for photographers out doing wedding portraits or Quinceañera pictures. If you look closely, you might spot an old English-style red telephone booth (no phone though).

"See Peachtree Dekalb Airport"
Like many of the larger roads in this northeast side of Atlanta, Chamblee Tucker Road represents more of a way for commuters to drive and avoid the interstate traffic or perhaps shorten their drive time home. From PeachTree Industrial road going south, C-T passes along side Peachtree Dekalb airport giving one views of the smaller private jets that fly in and out of this airport that is a regional alternative to the mamouth Hartsfield Jackson airport on the south side of Atlanta. For those bargain shoppers, this gets you to one of the few Big Lot stores on the NorthEast side of Atlanta (its close to I-85).

"The ShortCut from Toco Hills to Peachtree Road"
LIndbergh Drive is another one of those rare roads in Atlanta that can let you bypass the main traffic craziness to get from one section of town to another, in this case, from Toco Hills to Peachtree Street in Buckhead. Its mostly a residential drive though it passes the Lindbergh MARTA public subway stop on the north/south line. The other secret for it? If you have 2 or more in your car, you can access the I-85 HOV lane going north (or get off from I-85 onto Lindbergh going south) from this road.

"Connector Road and a Central Home Depot Location"
Many experience Sidney Marcus Boulevard as the connecting road from Peachtree to the I-85 connector, and if you hit this area during evening rush hour, expect to spend some time sitting in your car as the traffic moves slowly through here. If you take time to stop though, you'll find this as the sourthern tip of the 400 tollway, and home to a number of shops including Home Depot, Best Buy, Michaels, Home Goods, and more that dot either side of S-M. You'll find fast food here, including Arby's and in a thai vein - Tin Drum. You'll also find Radio Shack, barbershops and a scattering of apartments and hotels that line the strip.

"Condo Community for singles and retirees"
Keys Lake Drive is a short road that essentially runs through the Keys Lake condo community. The condos surround a small pond that is the center point for the community. The area offers quick access to Buford Hwy and Interstate 85 for those looking for an affordable place to live while driving to other parts of the city to work.

"Emerging Destination Spot Reminenscent of Virginia-Highlands area"
What used to be more of a stretch of residential roadway to connect PeachTree Industrial with Claremont, Dresden has started developing a new niche with the introduction over the past several years of eateries to the area. Whether its easy and affordable Verde Taqueria or the more upscale Haven, this is becoming the best new secret hot spot to hit Atlanta. J. Christopher's eatery has recently (early 2010) opened for breakfast/brunch, and small boutiques are moving in for the shopping set.
