"Safe, Friendly, Clean"
This is a wonderfully balanced neighborhood in so many ways. It is relatively quiet, yet so close to more bustling areas of Detroit. You can easily walk to the core of Midtown and you're not far from Eastern Market or Downtown. M1 Rail will have a stop at Ferry Street, Linking you to New Center and Downtown. It's close to the Medical Center, DIA, African American Museum. There are very few vacant homes and the inhabitants are comprised of a wide range of ages, incomes, and ethnicity. There is at least one community Garden and a beautiful, well-kept park at the center of the neighborhood. It is also home to the College for Creative Studies. Along side the gorgeous, historical homes, you will see well fitting, newer townhomes. It's a great place to live.
