Hollywood Park is a decent neighborhood. It is a very typical neighborhood in Sacramento with bungalow styled houses, narrow streets and open parks. There are quite a few businesses in the area that make this neighborhood more lively than a normal neighborhood feel should be. Traffic can be a problem on the weekdays, especially if you have little ones. There are plenty of cafe’s along Freeport Blvd which is a hotspot for professionals during the work week. There are board meetings that take place bi-weekly which talk about problems and what not within Hollywood Park. I had to attend one of them for my economics class and I can tell you from first hand that they are quite boring. There is a nice art school in the area which gives the neighborhood a special artsy feel with quite a few vintage shops specializing in local art work.
