"Great small town to raise a family"
Northampton is a small town in the Lehigh Valley. Although there is not much shopping other than grocery and some mom and pop stores, it is only about 15 minutes away from a fairly large shopping area and malls. The schools are good, providing adequate support for student growth. The neighborhood is usually quiet. I feel quite safe in Northampton. There are several restaurants in town including great Italian, pizza, and local tavern food. The night life is not very happening, a few small bars, but it is within 20 minutes of larger bars in surrounding areas. Northampton has several parks, and a large community pool. While not a whole lot happens in Northampton itself (besides the King Frost Parade) it is a short commute to more metropolitain areas. Overall, a good place to raise children.
