"Drive slow & look close, this little town has a lot to offer!"
If you are driving too fast along Hwy 28, you might just miss this small community tucked between Carnelian Bay & Kings Beach. Luckily, you'll find a handful of yummy restaurants, wonderful lakefront hotels & condos and a phenomenal regional park. There is a public boat launch & numerous public beaches. Bring your golf clubs and enjoy the Brockway Golf Course.
Pros
- Public boat launch & phenomenal regional park
- Golf course
- Affordable vacation homes to purchase or rent

"An Authenic Mountain Town"
Truckee is not as simple as you might think. It offers so many fun activities. In the winter enjoy downhill & nordic skiing, sledding, & more. Summer brings golf, camping, mountain biking, the list goes on. Historic old town Truckee offers many wonderful shops & five Zagat-rated restaurants. Head up the hill and visit the Tahoe Donner community - horseback riding & swimming during the summer, in the winter I highly recommend the cross country center. Just a few miles from downtown you'll find the amazing Northstar village where you can enjoy shopping, ice skating & amazing downhill skiing.
Pros
- Many, many activities to offer year-round
- Great value in homes & rentals
- Friendly people, both local & visitors
Cons
- Parking meters
