"A Great Place to Raise a Family. Lots of Support for Stay at Home Moms."
I have lived in the Beverly/Morgan Park area since 1989. When we bought our house we paid $84,000. Today it is worth at least $350,000. We could not afford to move into Beverly today, but that's a good thing. The economy has been bad, but the cost of living here continues to go up. We are on par with Lincoln Park. The schools are excellent here. It's one of the few places in Chicago where you can send your child to a public school and he or she will still get a good education. There is low crime. It's a great place to raise a family. My children were born and raised here and although they will leave to attend college, my hunch is that they will return to the neighborhood to raise their own families.

East 57th St
"Close to the Home of Obama"
East 57th Street is located in the University of Chicago area. It is also known for the area where the Obamas used to live. The area is known for the 57th Street Bookstore, a place where President Obama was a frequent visitor. East 57th Street residents are highly educated and enjoy culture and diversity. Many of the students who attend the University of Chicago frequent East 57th Street. One of the most famous restaurants on East 57th Street is The Medici - a popular restaurant/hang out for college students and Hyde Park residents.

South Washtenaw Ave
"A Nice Neighborhood for Families"
Washtenaw Avenue in Chicago is a nice area for families. The homes are not extremely old, yet they are not brand new either. There is still a bit of character in the area. Most of the residents have children that attend the Catholic schools in the area, as no good public school is close by. The area is well maintained, although not as nice as say the Beverly area in Chicago.

"In the Hyde Park Area"
South Greenwood Avenue is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Hyde Park is home to the University of Chicago. South Greenwood Avenue is located in a college town. Therefore, the people in the neighborhood tend to be highly educated. The focus of a Hyde Parker is more culture than how nice your lawn looks. The homes on South Greenwood Avenue are expensive, because the cost of living in Hyde Park is high. This despite the fact that the crime rate in Hyde Park has risen over the years.

"A Quiet Place to Raise a Family"
West 115th Place is considered to be in the Morgan Park area. The schools in the area are good schools in comparison to most of the schools in Chicago. Parents have the choice to send their kids to the Catholic schools or the public schools - both choices are fine. The Morgan Park area is one of the few areas in Chicago that still has good schools. The homes on West 115th Place are newer homes in comparison to other areas in Morgan Park.

East Oak St
"One of the Fanciest Streets in Chicago"
Got money? Then you'd fit right in on Oak Street. Oak Street is known as the place where only the rich will shop. Oak Street is home to some of the most expensive stores in Chicago. It is also a popular tourist stop for those who live in the wealthier Chicago suburbs. Oak Street is a fancy companion to the larger North Michigan Avenue area.
East 55th St
"Once a Grand Area, Now a Slum"
East Garfield Blvd is an example of a grand Chicago street that turned into a slum once the environment of the area changed. You will find old residential buildings in the area, but they are now substandard. Drugs and gang violence is active in the area, and the schools are poor. Some people are buying the large, old homes and renovating them to rebuild the area. However, this process is a slow one. Drive down East Garfield Blvd and head toward the lake and you hit Hyde Park. Hyde Park is home to the University of Chicago and is not a slum.
West 107th St
"The Dividing Line Between Beverly and Morgan Park"
If you live on beautiful 107th Street in Chicago, you are considered to be living on the dividing line between the Beverly neighborhood and the Morgan Park neighborhood. Beverly is considered more prestigious than Morgan Park, so it depends on the attitude of a 107th Street resident to determine where he or she wants to say where they live. The 107th Street area is home to beautiful homes that have been around for as long as 100 years.

West 108th Pl
"An Excellent Street for Families"
What's one thing that is so special about the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood? It's the family atmosphere. One street that is typical of that is West 108th Place in Chicago. Located in one of the best school districts in Chicago - Clissold - West 108th Place is an excellent area to raise a family. Indeed, most residents are residents with children or who are retired, but had children living at home at one time.

West 111th St
"The Cornerstone of the South Beverly/Morgan Park Neighborhood."
West 111th Street in Chicago is a major street in the South Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood. This is the street you take to get to the Beverly Art Center, to travel to Mount Greenwood, to get to the fire department and so much more. Everyone who lives in South Beverly or Morgan Park is familiar with West 111th Street.
West 115th St
"Not So Luxurious."
Longwood Avenue in general is considered a luxury street. It features many large, expensive homes located in the Beverly neighborhood. South Longwood Avenue, on the other hand, is not so luxurious. This is the less expensive part of Longwood Avenue - the part that although is not necessarily bad, it's not a desirable place to live for those who are familiar with the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood.
