"Proud Past, Exciting Future"

Pleasant Hill, Mo is located in southern Jackson County. It is a small town with a proud past and an exciting Future. Over the past 5 year Pleasant Hill has grown. It now has all the fast food you can eat. McDonalds, Sonic, Taco Bell, Subway, and Pizza Hut. If fast food is not what your looking for you could grab a pizza from Guidos a local establishment that has been serving pizza for over 30 years. You could sit down at the 113 railway cafe and choose one of many menu choices while whatching the trains go by. If you feel like staying in you might run up to the new price chopper grocery store and pick out your cut of meat to Bar-B-Que. Pleasant Hill still has a small town feeling. The population is still under 10,000 but is growing rapidly. Several new subdivision have been built with home prices ranging from 120,000 to 1,000,000. These prices are bringing in people from all over the Kansas City Metro area. People like the idea of smal ltown values. The School System is rated as a top school system in the area. A new high school and middle school have been built over the last several years. Improvements to facilities have allowed more oppurtunities for extra carricular activities for Pleasant Hill youth. Pleasant Hill is a great town to live a great place to raise your children and a great place to retire. Its citizens take pride in their town. It is a tight knit community that always welcomes new people with arms wide open. Cost of living has changed so much the last few years. Homes used to be very reasonable but are going up quite quickly. There are no doctors in Merlin, but Grants Pass is only 11 miles south and there are plenty there. Not being alone with this, I would recommend Medford or Portand for health care of any major concern. Schools are okay.
