"Nice neighborhood with well priced houses on good sizes lots. lots of trees."
The price you pay for a house is excellent for the size of the lots and the houses in this neighborhood. Two parks with tennis, basketball and playgrounds within 1 mile. At least 6 within 2 miles. Small shopping center within 1/4 mile (5 min walk). The city does alot for children. ex. fireworks, easter egg hunt, family fun day, free indoor play at armory durring winter. Wal-mart, lowes, sears, Price chopper and more within 5 miles.

I have lived in Oneida for over five years and have never once seen a 4th of July fireworks show here. The Sears store, which wasn't all that great to begin with, is long gone. It should also be mentioned that the south side of Oneida (mainly south of Lenox, including the Main/Broad/Grove Streets historic district) is the nicer part of town with properties ranging from historic mansions to newer upscale housing. Real estate prices are reasonable but taxes are on the high side. The north side of Oneida has a lot of run-down areas, lower-income housing, and a bad drug problem.
