"Quintessential Norwegian Small Town Feel"

Front street is a really cute street with tons of restaurnts, boutiques, bakeries and coffee shops. During the centennial celebration there were paper lanterns strung from the rooftops like a scene from a movie. If you are looking for something to do Dancing Brush is a really cute pottery shop where customers can paint their own pieces of pottery and ceramics. It is a really good time for kids and adults alike, and is reasonably priced. Be sure to visit Sluy's Bakery, where you can pick from hundreds of delicious treats! You can easily spend a full day within a few blocks on this street!

"Quiet Residential Street of Pouslbo"

4th Avenue NE is a residential area with many hills and homes. The area is very quiet with little traffic. Traffic is primarily limited to residents and members of the First Lutheran Church, which is perched atop the hill. The neighbors are friendly, but seem to mind their own business. Everyone says "hello," but there are not large neighborly gatherings. There are older, historic homes mixed in with newer, more moders town homes and neighborhoods. This is a great place to live for those who want to be close to the action, but far enough away to enjoy the view.

"Seattle's Commuter Heaven!"

Conveniently takes you from I-3 to the ferry terminal to Bainbridge Island. WA-305 goes through the city of Poulsbo, which has Central Market, and Albertsons. There is an area of 305 that is HOV in recognition of the commuter traffic that 305 hosts. Be aware that you will get a ticket if you do not meet the HOV requirement of two passengers per vehicle. There are other key shopping points along the road. 305 is the main route through Bainbridge Island, which is a really quaint residential area. It also takes you to the ferry terminal, which takes you into downtown Seattle.

"Shop 'til You Drop!"

Going north on 4th Avenue will take you straight to the main shopping hub of Seattle. The Westlake Center Mall is conveniently located on 4th Avenue and Pine Street. Westlake Center has plenty of shopping and the south station for the monorail to the Seattle Center. Also on 4th and Pine is Macy's department store. Further north is Bed, Bath, and Beyond. This is truly the premier shopping hot spot of Seattle.

"A Little Bit of Everything"

If you're visiting downtown Seattle, you absolutely must go to 3rd Avenue. The metro tunnel will let you off right there. To the south there is an area called Pioneer Square, which is more historic. It has some nice older bookstores and a few bars. As you get closer to Belltowne there is a Macy's and Bed Batha nd Beyond. There is a bit of everything in this area...restaurants, shopping, coffee, art, and plenty of nightlife activities. The area is really cool; it's historic, but funky too.

"Up Hill Both Ways!"

Madison Street takes you up from Pier 52 to the shopping district. It is nearly straight uphill...you have to zigzag and traverse to get up. But once you're up to 4th Avenue it flattens out. There are a few restaurants, and lots of shopping. The hike may not be worth it though. If you are an in shape, die-hard shopper, this may be a good day trip for you!

"Great Restaurants..Fun Atmosphere!"

5th Avenue is great! One of my best friends from school lives in Seattle, and took me downtown when I went to visit. It was really cool, the whole area is nice. We ate at a wonderful Italian place called Tulio Ristorante. It is a little pricey...but that's downtown. It was definitely worth the cost. There were several other restaurants that looked really wonderful. Definitely a place to go if youare in town.

"The Center of It All"

Prosperity Church Road rund from Eastfield Road all the way to UNC-Charlotte. There are about ten mid-sized naighborhoods, four grocery stores, several drug stores, and many places to eat. This road is really in the middle of everything. The neighborhoods are nice, small to mid-sized homes, ideal for young families with children or retirees. There are plenty of places for grocery shopping, and eating. A new Wild Wings Cafe just opened, along with several other shops and eateries. There is also a Blockbuster video store, nail salons, and much more!

"Something for Everyone"

David Cox Road has housing from apartments, to starter homes, to the upscale Davis Lake Neighorhood. There are a couple fast frood places, and a few nicer places, such as Antony's Caribbean Restaurant. There are also some chain-type lunch spots, including Jason's Deli, and Fiesta Maya Mexican. I went to school at David Cox Elementary School from 2nd to 5th grade. The school was great, and close to my house. I believe everybody can find something they enjoy on David Cox Road.

"Great Shopping...Wouldn't Hang Out Here at Night"

JW Clay Boulevard is a road right off of Harris Blvd which sweeps through a large shopping center. You will find WalMart, Sam's Club, and Best Buy among the shopping opportunities. There are also restaurnats including Chen's Bistro, and upscale Chinese place, TGIF, a mid-scale restaurant, and Chick-fil-a, a fastfood chicken joint. There is a Michael's, an Office Max, a Dress Barn, and many others. It does tend to be a little uncomfortable at night as it is right off the interstate.

"Plenty To Do Right Off This Road"

Harris Boulevard is one of the main roads in North Charlotte. There is a ton of stuff to do right off this road. There is the new Northlake Mall, which provides a nice, upscale shopping experience. All around the mall are restaurants and other shopping opportunities. Next to the mall is access to Interstate 77. A few miles down the road are some small neighborhoods, and the church that I have gone to since I have lived in this area. Continue town the road for access to Interstate 85. Another mile or so and you come to more shopping and eating. If you are looking for something to do, just take a cruise down this road and you are sure to find something.

"Quiet! You may miss it!"

My husband's parents lived on Dunstaff Road when we met in high school. I did not even know the little neighborhood was there, even thoough I had lived in the area for about 11 years when we met. It is a very quiet street, one of three in the neighborhood. An entrance to theGreenWay is right around the corner, for those who enjoy running or biking. It is also just off of Harris Blvd for those who want to be close to the action!

"Nice, Friendly Atmosphere"

Bell's Mill Drive is a fairly long street (about 3/4 mile), and so not all of the neighbors know eachother. It seems as though the neighbors who are close together are quite friendly. There are always kids playing in their front yards and people walking their dogs. There is also a pool off of this road. It is one of four pools in the neighborhood, and the one used by the swim team. If swiming is more your choice for exercise, why not live right around the corner from one?

"Friendly and Cheerful"

Wingmont drive is right around the corner fro the street I have lived on for the past 8 years. It is a short street, and therefore everybody knows everybody. Many of the homes are very well decorated for the holidays, and there are children up and down the street. The neighbors here are fun and socialize often. This is a great place to live if you have children and are interested in being active. It is right off of Highland Creek Parkway, which is perfect for running and biking or for taking your dog for a walk.

"Nice Little Family Neighborhood"

I lived on this street for eight years growing up. Some of my fondest memories are here. This street is very quiet. It is part of a small neighborhood and ends on a cul-de-sac. I remember playing out in the street during the summer, and it was not dangerous because there was very little traffic. What traffic does come through are neighbors who know to expect children. It is very close knit street. Most people go to the same church. Great place to raise a family!

"As Involved or Quiet as You Like!"

This street is full of families. Everybody knows everybody, and there are always gatherings around holidays. There are two cul-de-sacs, one on either end of the road. The neighbors on each end tend to socialize with others on their end, but everybdoy gets along. Lived here for ten years now and really enjoy it.

"Great Place to Live"

I really love living in Highland Creek. And the parkway is excellent for exercise. I enjoy running and biling on the parkway. There are always people out, day or night. You will see neighbors walking their dogs and talking. There are four pools in the neighborhood and several parks for kids. There is a golf course that winds over the parkway. It is absolutely lovely.
