"Charming street in the Ukrainian Village"
In between many questionable areas of the northside of Chicago such as Humboldt Park, the Ukrainian Village is growing into a beautiful pocket in Westtown. Walk down Rice Street between Oakley and Leavitt and you'll be amazed by the beauty of the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral towering over the area. The most beautiful Dominick's grocery store I've ever seen opened last September just two blocks down. There is quite a night scene on the weekends with plenty of bars and clubs in the area. The only downside to this street is that it is all apartment and condo buildings and parking is at a premium. Otherwise, enjoy a peaceful, charming, and enjoyable pocket in the middle of Chicago's near north side.
