East Toole Ave
"Has a place to drop off the kids, and plenty of art and culture within walking distance."
If you need a place to drop off the kids for awhile the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Angel youth center is a great location. There are also some great art galleries to explore nearby if that sort of thing is for you. MOCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, was definitely the best of the bunch, even though it is pretty small. There's also a large parking lot nearby so you can walk around and take in all the art and culture.

"This is the place for college students, or sick people."
If your planning on attending one of the nearby colleges such as Pima Community college, you will be spending alot of time eating on this street. With delicious mexican food, or more conveinent fast food there's alot to eat.
Your also conveintly located near St Mary's Hospital, great place in case you eat to much. I spent the night there after getting some food poisoning but since I'm not entirely sure which resturant I got it from I'll refrain from slandering any of the places. The nurses obviously know English as a second language but were kind nontheless. This is the place to hit for some food or businesses in the United Financial Center.

"Only recommended for nightowls."
Let me start off by saying; I did not feel safe walking down this street late at night. That being said there is plenty to do in this area, but unfortunatly it's mostly bars so you need to come at night, so in a way its a catch 22, safe and boring by day, dangerous but entertaining by night. The trains tend to rattle your brains as you walk around.
I would recommend someplace else unless your desperate for a drink, this place is not for families.

West Franklin St
"A definite stop, if you know where to look."
It may be crammed in between alot of other streets, but nevertheless it has it's own sense of touch. It has a definite feel of mexican heritage in the buildings and food. Toma and El Charro, are just two examples of fine mexican resturants found on the street, though personally I perfer El Charro, as Toma got my order very wrong and the wait was also painful.
There is also an abundance of open parking if walking is your directive, so its a great pitstop before continuing along.

"Plenty of smells and colors to draw you in."
This is a long and contemporary street. Running through both buisnesses and residential areas the street gives you a way to look at the entire city in one look.
To be honest the last time I saw it, it was quiet and clean. From what I've been hearing from relatives is entirerly different, the traffic from the nearby freeway spills more and more into this area, making it noisy and crowded. It may have lost some of its charm, but it's still one of my favorite places in Tucson.

East Congress St
"This is the place to do your shopping"
With a fun vibrant atmosphere, and plenty of places to shop or sit your tushy down, it's difficult not to enjoy this part of the city. East Congress (and Congress St itself) is a pretty long street, with plenty of sites to take in, even if the traffic gets a little dense.

"Nothing to see here, move on to another street."
This street is empty, and since I'm only talking about places to visit or things to do on this street, I can't really say much of anything. It's near a memorial park, but that's actually on another street, the only reason to come here is so you can drive on by.
South 6th Ave
"Not much to do but plenty to see on this street."
The street may be short, but somehow it managed to get itself squeezed between a memorial and the Tucson Children's Museum. So if you need a place where the kids can burn some sugar off, this is definitly the place. Another plus is the light traffic, quiet and somewhat safe.

West Ochoa St
"Hungry? Your on the right street."
This is the street to hit if your looking for some morning coffee or a quick lunch. The noise and pedestrian traffic may be a con to some, but it gives a sense of life to the street that makes it seem like a small town in and of itself.

North Scott Ave
"Suprisingly quiet, but the sounds can be deceiving."
This quiet backstreet running between apartments and businesses helps transport you from busy metropolis to quiet alley instantly. It is a strange feeling but nontheless welcomed.
