"Nice quiet neighborhood"
I have lived in Belmont Cragin for 22 years and have raised two sons in this neighborhood. I am a proud owner of a Chicago Bungalow. There are plenty of great looking homes with solid bones in this neighborhood. The cost of homes in this area appeal to the middle class.. This neighborhood appeals to middle class professionals because you are still in the city and the streets are nicely kept and quiet. Shopping down Belmont and Central Avenue is good. There is still diversity in this neighborhood. There are many middle class Hispanic families among some polish and what seems to me an increasing Arab population. I appreciate our melting pot here on the cities NorthWest side. There are good neighborhood schools like Thorp Academy one of the top CPS schools. Amongst other great schools is St Ferdinands and St Patricks HIgh School.
