West Market St
"Cute for a thoroughfare"
Sure, it's a main street. But it's still only 35 miles per hour here. So you can get that "small town feeling," even though you're in four lanes of traffic. When you come up to the University Square area, you start approaching the more "urban" area. But you still have the lush green lawns. It actually kind of feels like the 50s a little bit.

Bellemeade St
"Traffic gets horrible"
This is right up against NewBridge Bank Park. It's fine when there isn't a game going on. But when there is, there are never enough cops to help with the traffic. People just cross over from the parking lot without even looking, and the cops don't care. I guess it's because even if you did hit them, you're only crawling at like 2 miles per hour and they wouldn't get hurt. The police department really needs to get more guys out there.

Cridland Rd
"I didn't even know this was a street"
I actually thought this was just part of the parking lot basically. But there is a street sign there. It just leads in past the tennis courts and to the baseball fields. My little brother played Little League, so we would drive this way a lot. It has ample room to turn around and get right out, since there is only one way in and one way out. I think it's cute that they call it a road.

Grayland St
"Watch the annoying curve"
My friend lived on Cleburne Street when I was growing up. My mom would cut up Grayland Street from Hill Street to get there. I don’t know why. She thought it was some sort of shortcut. There is a curve in Grayland that doesn’t look like much, but people cross into the wrong lane all the time!! I can’t tell you the number of times that we almost got hit or basically ended up in someone’s driveway because of morons coming at us.

West Northwood St
"Close enough to action"
This is only two blocks away from Wendover Ave. I’ll be honest with you, you do hear some of the traffic. That is inevitable. But it’s nice to not have to drive through a billion side streets to get to the main thoroughfare. The yards on this street are a little bit bigger than the ones closer to Wendover, like on Cleburne. The neighbors really keep up with their yards too, instead of letting the grass get overgrown. I think there’s an ordinance for that though, so I guess they just don’t like fines.
