"Brownsville move to the Moon !"
Not dissing my old hood.Brownsville is not what it once was. It's certain sections of Brownsville I wouldn't recommended to live there unless you need to.Housing Projects in not a nice place to raise kid's.Too many negative things going on.Like shootings, drugs, gangs and crack heads.Even though they have camera around the buildings and Police walking through the projects it has limited the crime but not eliminated it.But anyway if you mine your business you should have no problems. But I would concentrate on private homes if you budget can afford it.
Pros
- Cheap housing
Cons
- high crime rate
- impoverished area

"The Old Sartoga Avenue of the 70's"
I use to live right around the corner of Saratoga Avenue from 60's to the early 80's. From this nice serene picture. Saratoga had made a complete change and big improvement than the burnt out abandon apartment buildings that was once there. It's hard to believe that Saratoga was like the wild west with all in fighting and drama it once had.And that was from Sartoga and Dumont ,Blake and Sutter Avenue .Three blocks of hell...lol It was a time if you walk down Saratoga Avenue going to Pitlkin Avenue you was almost guarantee to see somebody fighting or some kind of drama .And if nobody knew you .You could get jump by gangs.Ahhh yes good old Saratoga Avenue may it rest in peace.Long live the new Saratoga Avenue with it's nice private houses.

"What Belmont !"
The Belmont I once knew when I live in Brownsville was once a busting shopping area.I remember the Jewish people with there store and food venders selling fruit and vegetables on the street. You could hardly walk through those Belmont streets because of so many shoppers. Now Belmont is a shell of it's former self. It's a ghost town with so many stores that close up.
