Since moving here in 2011, I've been struck by how much there is to offer, and how few people living here actually know this. Started writing about the neighborhood last year, figured it'd be a fun little project but wow so many stories, so much history and color and charm. They could lose it all, too, if they're not careful -- the place is strategically located close to Manayunk & Center City, plenty of developers would love to make it a parking lot for bigger, "better" places but truthfully, this place has its own special vibe that's worth getting to know.
