"I would give anything to live here again"
I lived on this street for 16 years. The neighborhood has a great balance of people living in it - young couples with children, older couples with adult children, retirees, artists, professionals, everybody. The Coral Gables area tends to be pricey, but it is well worth it. Neighbors are very friendly and the street is surprisingly quiet for being so close to Bird Road! With the Shops at Merrick Place just a few blocks away, the high school down the street, and access to so many roads (the neighborhood is essentially squared in by Granada, Riviera, Bird, and Blue) it only takes 20 minutes to get to the beach, the airport, downtown, or the turnpike. Also, with Doctors Hospital so close, the longest we ever had to wait for an ambulance was roughly 3-4 minutes. Police circle the area periodically to make sure everything is fine. I can't say it enough - this is a wonderful place to live!

"Great for a family - be careful in the mornings, though"
This is in a very nice area: a quiet mix of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. Great for families. The only problem is that in the mornings there is a lot of traffic cutting through to get to the schools in the area (St. Hugh Catholic, G.W. Carver, Ransom Everglades, Carrollton, etc). However, with so many side streets and easy access to main roads, such as U.S. 1 and LeJeune Rd, Amalfi is a very nice, green, friendly place to live.
