"Home sweet home"
McNaughton Ave is a street just outside the borders of the city of Buffalo in Cheektowaga. Only minutes from the Galleria Mall, multiple pizzarias, and various other shopping centers (plazas), McNaughton has a great location. The neighborhood (though somewhat in decline) is clean, friendly, quiet, and affordable. It's still a great, safe place for kids with baseball diamonds at one end and the cheektowaga town park at the other.

Forest Ave
"Feeling a bit crazy?"
Bordering Buffalo State college, Forest Road is best known for the Richardson Complex. Also known as the Buffalo Psych Center, this building is a wonderful architectural treasure. A great example of Richardsonian Romanesque style, the Richardson Complex has unfortunately fallen into disrepair though there are plans for a rennovation of some kind. Look out prospective tourists, believe me that this is one stop you'll want to make in Buffalo. It's eerily haunting yet beautiful (from the outside which is all you can see as yet).

Elmwood Ave
"Whatever you're looking for"
Elmwood Ave is another great night-life street in Buffalo. It has a great selection of bars and restaurants for happy hour, getting food, or just partying. Also on this road is one of the cultural icons of Buffalo the Albright-Knox Art Gallery which is generally worth a visit. Further down (toward Amherst) Kenmore Mercy Hospital can also be found on Elmwood.

Kenmore Ave
"Got kids, need a highschool?"
Kenmore avenue is another great street. Running along the edge of the city, it was on this street that the best boys private highschool in the entirety of Western New York lies: St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. Ever expanding and updating its facilities, the highschool makes the area worth considering for families with a son nearing highschool age.

West Tupper St
"Looking to hit the suburbs?"
West and East Tupper (same street different names) are important streets to a person looking to leave the city of Buffalo. Intersecting many of the main streets of the Buffalo business district (Franklin, Washington, etc.) Tupper leads directly onto the 33 (Kensignton Expressway) and out into the suburbs.

Genesee St
"Watch out for construction."
Genessee is an extremely important street in Buffalo (and the surrounding areas). It's most important feature is that it's the road on which the Buffalo International Airport can be found (and thus the starting point for many visitors). Beware, however, of construction which seems to be a permanent feature of this Street.

Buffalo
"Do you need directions?"
Harlem is an extremely well known road from Buffalo all the way out to Amherst where it finally stops at Sheridan Drive. If you’re looking for directions, this is a good place to start from. It’s generally a fairly fast moving street with little in the way of traffic until you pass Genessee Street going north (near the 33 exit). Avoid at rush hour.

Union Rd
"A Busy Street"
Union Road has become a fairly commercialized road for much of its length. From Buffalo all the way out to Cheektowaga you will find a huge variety of businesses running along this street. For me, it provides the easiest access to the 33 and also the Galleria Mall (a fairly large mall not far from the Buffalo International Airport).

Delaware Ave
"A street worth visiting"
Delaware is a great street to visit. Running a long way from the city out into the suburbs, Delaware is one of the most historic streets in Buffalo. The mansions lining the street are certainly worth a look and during the warmer months a visit to Delaware Park for Shakespeare in the Park is worthwhile.

Kensington Expy
"Quick or slow?"
The Kensington Expressway (or the 33 as it’s known around here) is the most popular way into the city of Buffalo from the suburbs lying to the northeast of the city. It generally runs very fast (much faster than the posted speed limit) but at certain times of day bogs down horribly (especially around the Grider St. exit).

East Chippewa St
"Looking for excitement?"
Perhaps the most exciting street in all of Buffalo, Chippewa is the center of the Buffalo night life. I personally have only visited a few times (not big on clubs) but if you’re looking for an unbelievable amount of bars/clubs with an extremely diverse crowd then this is definitely the place for you. It is the number one choice of venue for college students (especially those from the University at Buffalo).
